I do NOT mean to be stereotypical here...However, I have been told by many of my friends who frequent the casinos at Tunica, MS, that most providers are on drugs!  Several have told me that while gambling large sums of money, women have come up to them...They later find out that the women are "escorts"!

Since I am not very educated in this hobby, and basically know little about it, I thought that I would pose this question here...Especially since many of the providers who seem to post here are very open, pretty, and likeable women, whom I would not think were like that, but, what do I know!

Im probably opening myself up for punishment, just for asking the question!

If you go to the Discussion Boards without logging in you it still knows who you are and you can still post but when it requests your password it doesn't do a full login and you don't get the edit button.

I don't know why. This internet stuff is pretty much beyond me. Perhaps some of the experts can tell you why.

Courvousier and pinot grigio. Guilty on occasion. Additionally the late hour at times.  (When you sent me that personal email and I got so scared, well, you know )  But bring on drugs, and for me it's hopeless.   I see why and how it can happen, yet I still feel as in shock about that being widespread as I do about ripoffs being the norm.

The most successful people in my estimation, are the ones in touch with their faculties. Turn yourself too much inside out to please too many and you have lost your soul.

Now who the hell is going to make any sense of that.   I sound like I am on drugs.

OF course, see me high on pinot grigio together with Nosc after I have seduced her into having an espresso and OOOOOOOOOOH LA LA LAND!

...I'll add that I also was not sexually abused as a child (contrary to a rumor about me I heard), did not grow up poor, am not a product of a broken home, and have never had an abusive or free-loading boyfriend.  I don't need an excuse to do this--I like it.  I get paid to be adored!

I feel bad for those who saw Monster's Ball and believe that this is how we all are, although admittedly there is an echelon of women who are this way.  I just can't imagine them being successful providers handling their own businesses and/or websites.

So within the range of "crackwhore" to "courtesan" there are many distinctions.  Of course when men start to try to "put us in our place" we are all "crackwhores", lol.

Nosc, yikes, I'll take the Courvosier, but I'll spike your espresso with the Grand Marnier.  Then We'll both be confused and happy

Oh, I should bring the Godivas so we have something to dine on between Y's.

OH and I do agree also with LL, I don't come from a broken home, poor family, don't do drugs, and not in this business because I have to.  I like what I do and I'm here because I want to be.  Not a sole controls me to be here. Only I control myself and my zest for life.

You can see many girls who strip in Memphis, particularly at Binion's or Gold Strike, either looking for a live one or just hanging out.

There are two providers who I visit frequently and have gotten to know.  They are both students working their way through the local California State University.  There is no chance in hell that either one does drugs.

One of them I have gotten to know quite well and admire her for her determination.  Although she did grow up in a poor family, she has never been molested.  I know that she dated quite a bit before escorting and found that men generally tried to take her out just to see if they could score with a beautiful woman.  She got tired of this and decided that she might as well escort and get paid for it.

When she graduates she plans to work in her chosen career, probably in another city and state.  That will be a happy-sad day for me, because I will lose a a very nice provider, but I will get to see a wonderful woman achieve her dream.

I know a few girls that may do drugs, but most I know of stay clear of anything harder than a drink.  Being in  business where your looks and abilty to communicate and entertain are assets, long term drug-use is a no-no.

There are a lot of stupid steroe types applied to ladies in my profession, most of them are grossly over stated.

my magic potions are hennesy & coke, and a nice cold guiness, and i'm good.  no drugs.  but they were my magic potions way before i became a provider.

I think the stereoptype has grown up over the years and continues to be promoted by police, religous groups, television and any other organizations who have an axe to grind.  Even recent shows such as HBO's "Hookers at the Point" tend to promote this stereotype.  I would expect that there is probably a major drug problem with ladies working the streets especially if they work for a pimp.  I suspect that a lot of pimps would get the ladies addicted to drugs as a method to control them.  Among the ladies who advertise on the internet and do not work on the streets I would suspect that the instance of substance abuse is not significantly different than the rate for the population at large. I have not seen any survey or study that confirms this.  It's just my opinion.

I've been friends with some escorts over the years and they tell me that many women will have a glass or two of wine to relax them before a job but I've never heard of any who abuse drugs regularly.  Non-stop sniffing and a red, runny nose is not a turn-on so it's worth the ladies avoiding the habit from a business point of view if nothing else!
