What year did you join?
Put your answer in
your subject line...

When I first saw the reviews
  I couldn't believe it.  I thought
this is another scam.... I had
  just started seeing escorts
  in Dec of '05.

How did you find
out about TER?

  I found out through
  a local hobby board
  that is no longer around.

Do you remember
who your first review,
or reviewer was?
Providers what did you first think?

  I was a member for 2 years
before I tried to put up my
  first review....My first 3 reviews
  were unapproved, because the
  providers were from escort
  agencies that were delisted
  for some reason...

Here is TER's response to me:
"The provider who you have reviewed is currently delisted from TER. If a provider is delisted,
TER does not accept or post reviews for that provider."

Does anyone know who put up
the first review, and who the first
review was on?

her TER number was 32. So she was there in the beginning. She's still very hot BTW.

The interesting thing is she was a ripoff but had eight pages of reviews. I guess guys only think with their little heads. LOL. BTW, I joined TER in the same year as you did. I lurked for a year and then posted my first review in 2007.

Obviously back in the early days guys didn't understand the system. I found TER kind of by accident. My first was a BP gal. Had a great time and gave her her first TER review.

1) she was 11
2) she lied

It's close, but I'm going with 2.

I was in the process of a divorce and living in a place where there were no providers.  But since I'd played in NY cat-houses  in the '80s and '90s I knew when I got the chance I'd be back in the game.  So I went on line and started doing research.  Found a bunch of sites and joined a couple, including TER.
My first review was in Jan., 2011, of the incomparable Gina Rollins.

I found out about TER through a client. He was what the agency owners called a 'professional client'...altho not a review writer (if he was, I don't know his handle and he didn't review me). He just knew a lot about the business, and had seen tons of girls.

My first reviewer was a client of the agency where I met the guy who told me about TER. I'm sorry to say that my intro to TER was not a good experience for me (scores were not bad, just wasn't a good time). I later found out he was a denizen of the boards, altho an infrequent poster...but, at the time I'd never heard of the boards, and it would be another year before I even looked at them.

I was told ahead of time by the agency owner that this guy was a reviewer. I was asked how I felt about DFK and BBBJ, since it would be expected by this particular client (not all clients required so much). If I'd refused to do it, they wouldn't have booked him for me. But I did agree.

The guy was very overweight w/toenail fungus, and he used some sort of lube which gave me the first yeast infection of my life. He also had bad breath. He was the first client I'd seen who tried for 3 rounds in an hour (and he was NOT in shape to do that, at all). More finger poking that I was used to, as well. It was definitely a different vibe than my other dates had been (they were more chatty/gfe). But not to say that he was terribly rough. He was nice enough, actually. Even brought me gifts. But overall, it was not a terrific first impression of TER. Sorry to say.

I posted a couple of reviews but it was a pain as they kept rejecting to get
more "juicy details" 1

I left and came back when I met a new provider who said to me she would appreciate a ter review.

Since then, after a few "posts" people love "escalade" so much, I now feel kind of obligated to stay
on and contribute my thoughts if any to the board.

I saw it in a search on Google or some search engine. My first review was for a provider in the DC area named Ashana. She had good reviews and was everything that her reviews said. I knew then that this was the way to go. Things have changed a bit in the last 10 years but the reviews still make it better and safer.

I took quite a bit of time to research the hobby before jumping in with both nuts.  I've been on the boards for about a year.  Saw a few TER ladies before writing my first review this year.

All of a sudden I was getting a ton of emails and wondered why because I had not done anything differently. Someone said, "You have 3 reviews on TER" and that is where you need to be...leave another board alone. My first review was from a guy I still keep in touch with, but he put I was advertising on Craig's List, which I later found out was true, only I did not place the ad lol. Think I started posting like crazy in 2010 or 11, but can't go back and find out because there are thousands.

I remember it being hard as hell back then to get fake reviews pulled regardless of how much evidence you had to prove you never saw said client. Things are different now, and I love it!

I first became aware of the exisiance of review sites way back when I a MP gal I was seeing told me about them.  I had just started to use the net then.  She told me the name of it was something like "Dog Eat Dog", or some such thing.  Well, that took a lot of search engine time, but finally I found my way to the bow-wow site.  From there I found websites of a lot of gals, and followed links and eventually came over to TER, which I found much more interesting.

I wrote a bunch of reviews for gals I had started to see around then, among them Gina Depalma and of course Bev Fisher.

I discovered TER through a Google search because I was on a business trip, and as I got to my hotel room that night, I heard the unmistakable sounds of hanky panky in the room across the hall as I was entering mine.  And here I was all ginned up to hit the strip club that night because in PA topless dancing was allowed, but wasn't in NJ.  After I unpacked and booted my laptop, and I went into the bathroom to freshen up, I heard through the door someone leaving the room across the hall.  The female voice said "Nice to meet you, the man "Thanks for coming".  It immediately dawned on me that the dude across the hall had hired an escort, and got his brains f-ed out.  This led me to Google search "escorts", and it was no surprise to see how much this returned.  At the top of the list was a link to TER, and what it said about reviews was enough to pique my curiosity to check things out.  Three days later, I purchased VIP membership, and three weeks later had my first encounter in the hobby with a lady fro SoFla that I am friends with to this day.

My first review was my first time with two ladies.   This occurred a few weeks after I attended my first M&G in July 2005, after which I saw a half dozen of the ladies in attendance over the next several months.

To take your question one step further, it was not until 2007 that I was unmoderated on the boards.  Back then, being moderated meant essentially being silenced, as it often took so long to have posts approved  that what you were responding to was on page two by then, making it irrelevant, and encouraging most VIP members to lurk rather than participate on the boards.  When I finally was unmoderated...it was a liberating experience.  Made things easier, especially in getting invites to M&G's in Vegas and elsewhere out of town, and some posts led to exchanges with ladies I wouldn't have otherwise interacted with. leading to more dates, and more friendships.

TER has been an invaluable resource in hobbying successfully and safely since day 1,  and has lead to many unique experiences that would not have otherwise occurred.  I'm glad I found it when I was a newbie, and it's still as valuable today.

I had mixed feelings at first.  Those mixed feelings are no longer associated now.  Over time I have grown to enjoy the batter back and forth among those of us who are members of this community.  I went away for a while when TER decided to eliminate the moderators as I was one who stood up against the change as I didn't like the way it was implemented . . . I still feel it could have been accomplished differently.  I was moderated several times as a result.

I have to say now that the end result has been a more efficient response time to questions to admin, my reviews get up faster, and the conversation continues unabated.  I missed the various salty interchanges the various moderators had between the members and am glad to see that some of them have returned to inject their wit and flavor into the conversation . . .

You know who you are.

I sometimes I take a break from all of this but am always glad to see my old friends, ladies and gentlemen,  still happily posting away when I return, don't think I forgot you.

Of course I am always looking to make new friends!
