If you normally keep a (partially) bald pussy, how much trouble is it to keep it that way?

So many girls have said there's irritation, burns, ingrown hairs, but I have not seen it on most of the few providers I've seen. They were smooth and silky.  
There was one who was prickly, and that was kind of a turn off. It made me curious how much trouble it is to maintain.

Do you still get irritation, or does it go away as you keep maintaining it?

For me 12 laser treatments didn't completely rid me of needing to maintain and trim, but it has cured ingrown hairs, and the need to shave twice a day, to maintain silky smooth legs. I have been very happy with it!
