1967 in particular. I can stare at this machine for hours just as easy as staring at a 22 year old hottie sunbaithing on the beach.

except for the sluggish pinto-platform Mustang 2's of the 70's. My fav are the fox body 5.0's, easy to mod and bolt on massive horses.

4.10 in the back with posi's (acu-lock limited slip differential) with 5 lug upgrade and disc conversion in the back, full length headers straight to the off road H-pipe (no cats) and out through flowmaster 40's, full length subframe connector, cold air intake, 73 mm MAF sensor, under drive pulleys, aluminum heads w/ B303 performance cam, .1 of bore , hellion turbo charger.600 HP or go home.

I hope they have the same staying value as the "Allante" of twenty some years ago, but coupled with some real performance.

They quit making them in 2009 and I have been looking for one to replace my 2008, I thinks it's one of those cars that will actually appreciate, plus it looks so fucking sharp. My old ATF used to call it my "Batman car" lol

I drive around in a Buick Park Ave, the last sucessor to the epitome of hogs:  The deuce and a quarter (Buick Electra 225)  Now there was a car that could create a gas shortage on its own.

The Mustang does seem to be popular with the working gals.  I know three that have them now.  They love to chauffeur me around in them and show me off.

SCCA and former Trans Am racer.  Riley/Scott tube frame chassis.  366 NASCAR motor w/ 700 hp.  Fiberglass/carbon fiber body. Wiseman dog-clutch tranny.  2800 lbs.  Track car only ("headlights" are decals).  Capable of 200 mph with  Pocono gears.  No idea re 0-60 but my guess is no more than 2 seconds.

Nothing to look at but since he was a mechanic, he tricked it out quite well.  Last time I was in it, he promised me that if I could sit in the passenger seat and not piss myself when he went to the nitrous bottle, he'd let me drive it.  Problem was that he couldn't because every time he did, the windshield ejected from the car.  The suspension still needed work to.  The body flexed enough to slam into the rear tires, and that was a nasty stench.  Some projects never end.

It was 616 RWHP last time I had it tested!
Ate everything I came up against with ease and still got 20 MPG when my foot wasn't mashing down the gas pedal (which was not very often!).
Just about killed me to sell it when I had it virtually where I wanted it!

They are just killer/evil looking cars!!
Here's what mine looked like (minus the skull/cross-bones plate).
http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/features/1102gmhtp_1987_buick_grand_national/index.html

And here's they're capable of at the track (with minor modding).

**BTW - Currently working on my '85 Vette (black, of course). It'll have a John Lingenfelter 383 stroker capable of 197 MPH, so everything needs upgrading. He has an amazing video of a late 90's TransAm with this package/setup on his site doing laps at a tire-testing loop (7 miles) in Texas somewhere (I think). If you're a top-speed junkie (like me), his site is a must see!

My friend has a 78 camaro, he dropped a 550 in and got it down to 10 secs in the quarter mile. He's now hooking up the nitrous and plans to get it down to 7. It's a lot of work but some devote their lives to that shit!

I like the 2012 Shelby GT500 Super Snake (see link below).  If I lived in a place where it didn't snow, I would own one today.

However, I did have a 2007 Shelby GT500 a few years ago, but I needed a more practical vehicle, so I sold it after owning it for less than 2 years and now drive a Lexus RX350 ...LOL.
