If you are familiar with NY Chez Brigette's girls, they are charging this much.  Are they for real?  I just can't believe it.

It's the million dollar pencil theory:

2 blind men are standing on the corner selling pencils from
tin cups. One guy is shouting "Help the Blind. Pencils. 3 for $1.00!"
The other guy has a sign hanging around his neck that says
"Pencils for Sale. $1,000,000 each".

A passerby comes and says to him, "You gotta be nuts or
somebody messed with your sign. Lookit this guy, he's got
pencils 3 for $1.00 and people are buying like crazy.
What's with you? What asshole are you going to find to pay you $1 million for the same pencil?"

The blind guy grins and leans into the passerby saying
"Yeah, but I only got to find one asshole."

Bottom line on outrageous pricing by providers (many I have seen worse than Chez Bridgette you mentioned) is that
if there is/are asshole(s) willing to pay, you can't fault the
providers for asking.
Rather, we should scorn and deride those who pay this
(including some who post on this site) for paying it.

If a person has the money, it's none of your business what he values when he spends it.  Perhaps he wants someone who will recite James Joyce's Ulyssees while being screwed - not many ladies can oblige that fetish.

The point being, just because something looks like silly value to YOU, doesn't meen anything - except that YOU won't patronize the service.  Exclusivity and Discretion in and of themselves might be worth MUCH more than the actual acts that the person engages in.

In any language, YOU just are not the target customer.  Because the target customer has sophisticated tastes and discretionary income to allow him to enjoy the finer pleasures in life.  As well as the mental acuity to desire stimulation on a broad range of levels.   And even more to the point, the wherwithal to not have any issue about paying more SOLELY so that the lady need not soil herself amongst the riff-raff (i.e. YOU).

BTW, I'm not the one with a comprehension problem here.  If YOU could work with better customers, and earn 10X as much at YOUR job, JUST because you were confident enough to ask for it, and good enough to have someone give it to you - Would YOU turn it down?  Well, maybe YOU would, because clearly, YOU'RE not the sharpest pencil in the cup (that one is the one that costs so much more).

There is nothing different about what she's doing than about what Bentley does selling automobiles, and what Patek Phillippe does selling wristwatches.

BTW, I'M not the target customer either - because I personally favor a more egalitarian model, where performance benchmarks determine the value TO ME.  But that doesn't preclude my understanding and respecting the market segmentation.  And, quite candidly, admiring the chutzpah of someone who is capable of delivering BOTH the promotional message to hook the customer at the higher tariff, AND to deliver the underlying product to carry it off.  

Frankly, I can WELL understand a multimillionaire spending $10K on an evening of companionship, even if the ONLY thing he got from $9K of that expenditure was the knowledge that YOU hadn't been with the lady, and YOU wouldn't ever be with the lady.  For someone with all the money they need for anything - Why WOULDN'T someone want THAT knowledge?
