How long do you wait until you consider a provider to be a no show?  15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour?

I once waited a couple of hours, because I had gotten a nice hotel room, and had nothing else to do and no where else to go at that time of night.

I consider it a no-show and move on.

If I get a phone call, I'll just wait until she shows up. If there is no call, I think an hour is more than a reasonable amount of time.

I think it is very important for a lady who considers herself to be of high quality to have some standards around punctuality just as its important for the client. If I am running more than ten minutes late for a date, I make sure to call my client and let him know that I am on the way and just stuck in traffic or something of that nature. To be it is very important to be on time and to show up for my client when I say I am going to be somewhere and I would expect the same respect from my dates.

It depends on your level of patience and the time you have.  My motto to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is to never happen.  

Think about how long you would keep someone waiting and make sure you hold the same standards for anyone you would want held for you.

I think that a half hour is sufficiant amount of time to wait around for a provider to come/call.  First, which I usually do, is call about 15-20min prior to make sure the client is ready for me and not stuck down at a table.  If you try to call the provider before the date, and at the time of the date and still do not recieve an answer, than I think a half hour is appropriate time to wait around pondering the thought.  However, she may  be tied up at another appointment, but that gives no excuse why she can't call to let you know she will be late.

I am guilty of this from time to time.  If I am running late, I ALWAYS call and keep them informed as to my time and expected time to be there, and of course, keep the time scheduled to the time scheduled and dont ecpect to leave early if I am 15-20 minutes late.

I have also (unintentionally) been a NCNS 3 times in my 6 years.  The only time I didnt offer an apology was when 1 of the gentleman, (and I used that term lightly) blasted me before I had a chance to call and explain.  So, his impatients cost him a discounted make up session and any further chance for an appointment all together...even after all his groveling after the fact!

I dont mind when a hobbyist is running late..to a point, anyway, because I for some reason run a little behind myself...but, like I said, to a point.  LOL

I want to thank everyone (providers and gents) for the replies. I have better idea of how to handle the situation when it comes up. I thought it was kind of interesting that the gents would wait for up to an hour while it seems the providers will consider it a no show after 15 minutes. I tend to agree more with the providers on this one.

A NCNS is a pet peeve of mine. At the very least, I would expect the courtesy of a call, stating that the meeting has been called off.

An NCNS is particularly disrespectful, IMHO, since it tends to take the other party for granted and does not consider the other party's time, to be of any value.  

As far as the question is concerned, 10 minutes after the appointed time, if the party does not turn up and if I don't receive a call, I will try and reach back on the phone# provided.  If the phone does not get picked up, then I will leave a voice message.  I will wait for 10 more minutes and if the party does not call back even after that, the meeting would be cancelled (I will leave a polite phone message about the cancellation).

That is interesting, because many of the women on here would put a guy on a national DNS list even before a follow up call is made.

Look, I am sure he was angry that you did not show up on time.   People's time is worth something (remember all women say they charge for time only), so women need to understand that if they are not going to show up on time, a phone call within 5-10 minutes of the appointed time is required.   If there is no phone call within 15 minutes, she is a no show to me.   If she does not have courtesy to let me know she is running late, I do not have the courtesy to stick around and wait for her.

It is a two way street.

She should call first and foremost.  That is just common courtesy.  I know if I think I will be even 3 minutes late, I always call.  I would assume if she doesn't show within 15minutes and doesn't call to let you know, she is a no show.

If she has called me with a believable excuse, and keeps me informed as to her progress, then I may give her more time.

But if I have to keep calling her (or her scheduler), then I naturally start thinking that I'm being lied to.

If when I call, I get the line: "I'll call you right back" and 15 minutes elapse with no call back, I start to get very pissed.

At some point, I just accept that the mood is broken, and I move on.

The last time this happened, I was getting the run-around by the agency scheduler, and after 35 minutes I headed home.  At 45 minutes after the appointed time I finally get a call telling me the lady is ready and thanks for waiting.  My patience was exhausted by then, I said no thanks. I also know (in this particular case) that the agency was not honest with the lady about what happened, which is expecially bad.  It was a usually reliable and respected agency that I'd used many times before, too.

This situation is fortunately rare, because most ladies (and agencies) understand that while their time is valuable, so is mine.  Mutual respect is the key.

I once had a night where I waited 1hr then called another girl and waited 1hr then again no show after 4 no shows my attitude is make a appointment if they don't call to let you know before the date time fuck um. If they show up late say we can fuck for free while I wait on the other girl to get here. I don't mind paying for a girls time and never ask for a discount they can at least call if there is a issue.

It is one shot deal for me, once the appoint is confirmed and I am blown off, I ain't going there ever. End of story. I have respect for myself and if I don't; no one else will either.

In that case, I will give her the benefit of doubt, as experience has shown that delays usually mean there are issues at her end.  I've had ladies fall asleep and call 45 mins. later, have outdoor photo shoots run long, arrive late after having earlier meetings, even fall ill and not call, hoping the symptoms would abate and be able to meet on a delayed basis.  Whenever this has occurred, the result was meeting a little later (and longer ) than planned, or having to reschedule.

The only NCNS I ever experienced was because a lady I had set up a meeting with stayed home due to a death in her family, and she took leave of being a provider for several months as a result.  I'm not even sure she realizes that this occurred, and I have been in touch with her subsequently, and would meet her again no problem.    

If this happened with a lady I had never met before, and knew nothing about, I would consider it NCNS after 30 mins. or so.  If I had a plan B, I would consider activating.  Fortunately, have never needed to do so, and I hope I never have to...

Agree completely.  When she said "before I had a chance to call and explain", if the "chance to call and explain" happened within 5-10 minutes of the agreed upon time, and the guy blew his top, then she has a point.  

But if she did not "call and explain" even an inordinate amount of time later (say after 15 minutes of the agreed upon time), I am completely with the guy for blasting her.  Absolutely no need for the guy to "grovel" either, as he supposedly did, since he was not the one who broke an agreement without advanced notice.  

In reality, there should be a way to post an NCNS as a mini-review, so that future customers are warned of such a propensity with particular providers.  That will keep them on their toes to take everyone's time seriously and at least call, when there is an impending "NS", so that the hobbyist can make alternate arrangements.

The question is, is there anything within TER that would allow such a "mini-review" (even without any VIP days), since an NCNS  is a serious matter in my mind, and should be a mark against the provider (however good she may otherwise be), as a warning to future hobbyists who might call her and be disappointed due to an NCNS.
