When I first started hobbing little over ten months ago, prices for an hour with an independent provider was FBSM $100 to $ 200 an hour, FS $200 to $300, GFE $250 to $400, and GFE plus anal $300 to $450 was then norm in my state. Now in the last few months prices have dropped to $80 to $150 for FBSM, $150 to $300 for FS, $200 to $400 for GFE, and $250 to $400 for anal as a norm. Why the price drop? Is it a seasonal thing? Employment is up in my state. I just don't get it. Is this just a local thing?

First of all, you have more under aged, unexperienced, intoxicated and unmarketable women in this business now, alot who have pimps somewhere in the corner. Also, and most feared that it would happen, you have alot of clients who rather pay 60 - 80 and cut the lights off...doesnt matter the look of a women now and days....but then...on the other hand, you have cheap clients who would skip all the 60 - 80 dollar girls, and approach a very attactive 200 and up provider and try to see HER for 60 - 80, like no one will notice what this guy is doing. Its sad, and it will get worse.

I just raised my minimum # of hours.   Result? Make more money per hour of dealing with BS.

You may be right but it's not worth complaining about.  It's just the times we live in.  When the economy gets better, things will get back to equilibrium.  This is true in everyone's business, in its own way.  Everyone needs to adapt and move on.

In my area there's been a slight drop in prices, mostly in the form of extended holiday specials.  I think in a few cases it may be women who are getting slightly older and want to stay competitive, but that's mostly conjecture.  So far it hasn't tempted me to see anyone I otherwise wouldn't have contacted.

Thanks to sites like CL and BP, and other local similar sites, the economy, and the mindless lyrics of Hip Hop music, everyone seems to think this is their calling.

CL and BP are glorified street corners, and yes, while many well-seasoned, professional women have adverts on these pages, in my opinion it is only due to the fact that for cheaper pricing, guys have switched to looking to these sites first, so the better candidates have to get all the bases covered.

It's an infestation because, frankly, many (not most, but many) of these women aren't in it because they truly like this kind of work, but because they have bills to pay, or their raggedy lil' "boyfriends" talked them into it, or, my favorite, they were slutty and broke and it finally dawned on them that they could get paid to sleep around. It would be much different if there was a sudden onslaught of equally talented women suddenly showing up, but many of these girls are not of the best quality; clearly evident by the numerous negative reviews for girls who've popped up in the last couple years. Even if they were just a lousy lay and didn't hurt or try and scam anyone, that still isn't as good as many of the well-reviewed ladies. I know these girls will always get tried out, many of them are very attractive, but a streetwalker (and I do not mean by action, by mentality) with a computer is still a streetwalker, nonetheless.

You gotta do what you gotta do to keep your business up and to compete with everyone else. I'm sure some areas are better or worse than others with it, and some girls are probably holding out on dropping prices or maybe traveling in order to avoid lowering; some, I imagine, are just stubborn.

And even if the economy is improving, it doesn't mean that right away business for us gals will improve. There are so many with went jobless, or had hours cut, and now they have to catch up on bills and things; they may not have play money just yet. I'm sure things will pick up soon as things get more stable...

Now, from my point of view, the economy sucks ass! I've taken huge pay cuts because of this shit. Everybody's looking for a bargain. They don't give a fuck about quality, or service, or loyalty for that matter. Well, I should say most people.

So this of course trickled down into your realm. Some guys want a quick fix and will see a lady that charges 60-80 knowing full well he's not going to get the experience he would get with a 300-400 lady. Some guys are like that.

For where I am (northeast) and who I look at, the numbers are steady or going up. (There is an occasional promo but often after an increase.) When I look at reviews, I can't believe what some of the amounts are going up to, especially when so many other good choices remain at the lower price point. So I remain with the other good choices.

I was just wondering, as the economy in Utah is the best in the nation right now. Just the last few months I seen more then a few ladies drop their prices or expand their services with out raising there price in my area. They have actually crept up. Some provider said, they don't have enough business and have to make it up somewhere. I told her, it is a winning strategy to raise prices when demand is low and left it at that.

The only difference is that in a depressed market, those who charge a premium actually have to have a premium product.  When disposable income is hard to come by, those with it tend to "shop" better and pay more attention to value than simply to cost.  Spending X amount for an evening that will be one of the fondest memories of their life is of more value than spending the same for a week with someone that they end up not being able to stand after a few days.  And when they find the value they seek, they return.
