You can create multiple folders and transfer the PM's into them.
I agree that a search function within the emails  makes a lot of sense, but the folder option is your best bet for now.

topics from so many people it gets hard to find stuff. Lots of tid bits and referrals etc. but useless unless I can search through it all.  

Anyway, that's it.
