Spell Hobbyist Correctly!

Can we please agree to stop using the incorrect term "hobbiest?"  The est suffix means the most, for example the funniest which means the most funny.  The proper suffix is ist which means one who.  A hobbyist is one who hobbies. Please?

And should of, would of, and could of, instead of should have, would have, and could have? And while you're at it stop calling a water heater a hot water heater. You don't have to heat hot water!

Bwahahaha! It's not TER that is spelling hobbyist wrong. Why are you posting this on the S&P board? Ang good luck trying to correct people's spelling! LOL

Your post in the previous thread is full of bad punctuation and misspellings.

Yea, you're really on a roll today.  Are you bored, yet?

I am well aware of my typos and they make me cringe when I see them and it's too late to edit.
But at least I don't talk to trees. :D

OK I knew I'd get flamed for this tiny little idea.  As for why, the S&P board says "We also ask for any suggestions that will improve the site."  This is just a suggestion, that's all.  And hey, I really like all your other ideas, you should get to work on them right away! "I "should of" thought a them myslef!"  I can't do it alone as I'm too busy heating some hot water.

How about TER's very own "Please re-login again" when your session expires?

I had my way (and I know I don't), I'd suspend for a week anyone using that lame word.  I don't know about you, but I'm NOT a "hobbyist."  I'm a John, a Trick or a Monger.  And, yes, I know Monger's a mis-nomer because it really means seller not buyer.  But  anything's better than the "H Word."  I'm not a stamp collector.  I'm a hooker fucker.
PS: I've tried correcting people's language here and it's a fruitless task.

Hobbyist:
a person who pursues an activity in their spare time for pleasure.

Hobby:
An activity or interest pursued outside one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure.

How do those definitions not fit this activity?

I refuse to use the word based simply on its lameness and the fact that anyone with a more traditional view of what constitutes a hobby who learned of its use here would find it ridiculous.  So when I see someone lecturing about its proper spelling, well, my head explodes.
Now, go get leied, fucker!

And I'll keep arguing how it's the perfect word for this "hobby" and I 'll keep bringing up those definitions.: D

Personally, I have lots of hobbies, but never once have I considered stamp collecting. In fact when I think hobby, i think of things like Car racing, motorcycling, scuba diving, skydiving, and fucking for money!
:)

(Besides, I would think your siblings Conan and Cunning would argue this on semantics. ;))

not hooker fucking.  And I don't need Conan or Cunning to 'splain that.  They were murdered by Admin here anyway.

So as much as I dislike the term, maybe I am a hobbyist after all?

and if Admin murdered "Conan and Cunning" all I can say is every once in a while, admin gets one right. Or in this case two. lol

And they will continue to visit you.  If only to annoy the shit out of you.
