Re: Usually TER respects us when submitting a Review

But I ran into a first, and I wondered if anybody else has.  I send in a review, less than 2 hrs later sent an urgent request to change the review in a small way.  My requests for how to do this, or get a copy of my review so I could make the change, were totally ignored by what seemed like a needless arrogant sentence, over and over and over.  "What Change Do You Want to Make?"  I replied over and over, let me see a copy, or tell me how to see it, and I can make the small change immediately.

So what did TER do?  Sent in the original review, in spite of 8 emails back and forth.  I was finally told how to see my review, on the 2d or 3d day later, which I immediately did, and changed one sentence in the review.  But it did no good.

What is the protocol in this case.  Once a hobbyist submits a review, is it TER's property and they can do anything they want with it, and we can no longer remove or alter it?

Thanks for helping me.

Here's what I do :  I usually compose and submit all my reviews on the weekend.  It will take at least 2 full days, if you submit on a Saturday morning, for your review to be approved and posted, or rejected.

While your review is under review, you can still access and edit it.  Just go to Account Manager and chose the "My Reviews" button.  All your reviews will appear, and your newly submitted review will be appear with an "edit" button to the left of it.  Click on the button and "viola" no need to correspond with TER staff. You can edit and re-edit to your heart's content.  I know, i did this several times myself this WE.

Hope this will help you in the future.

Usually you can go to the Account Manager link, click on My Reviews and there will be a box that says Edit. I've gone back in two hours and edited a couple of my reviews, usually for grammar or spelling.

I am to the point where I am going to quit posting reviews. Its such a hassle to deal with the people who approve them. The last one I tried to post was not approved because there was a lack of details. of course there was a lack of details. Thats what my review was all about. The girl was awful and nothing happened. Guess they just want us to make stuff up so their reviews are all fairy tales!

What many people fail to realize, is when you don't post a review, you're not hurting TER, you're hurting other hobbyists. I've only had a problem posting one review and was able to resolve it quickly.

I understand your point. I have been a member here for a while now and I enjoy the information on this site. Its a nice heads-up to whats out there. My point is that I should not have to jump through hoops to get my reviews posted. This is not the first time a review wasn't approved. It seems to be a trend.
