it would be really helpful to have, for instance, a general discussion forum for San Diego (and all other major cities).  If there's a provider with no previous reviews but has an enticing web-site, would be great if anyone could verify whether they knew she was a rip-off.  And the easiest way is to communicate via forums that are labeled according to the city/geographic region.  This website is successful because it brings together a lot of great info - and having a more extensive forum would certainly enhance this website.  Not to mention, easier to meet up with hobby friends.
