Suggestion and Policy

Many reviewers seem to be giving more than one provider a 10-Once in a Lifetime rating. This clearly dilutes the value of a 10. My suggestion is that TER limit each reviewer to only ONE 10 rating for appearance and ONE 10 rating for performance. Then 10 will really mean what it is supposed to mean: ONCE in a Lifetime. Your thoughts?

Give each hobbyist a once in a lifetime chance to give an 11.

Imagine this... a newer hobbyist has great experiences, then meets someone who is stunningly beautiful and the chemistry is fantastic.  It  blows him away, so he scores her a 10.  He does his homework well and several months later he meets someone who is not only stunningly beautiful but she is exactly his physical type, the chemistry is fantastic and some fantasy is fulfilled (sex on a balcony, or whatever.)  Should he not score her a 10 because the other lady received a ten?

In this world, as you play your discernment becomes more refined, and the easier it is to find just the right lady... so should a hobbyist wait until they retire to decide which lady is indeed the 10?

Look for the patterns - several tens means some amazing times with amazing women.  All 9 and 10's?  Maybe he's just a high scorer.  Check out what the other reviewers have to say about the lady and you are likely to get a much fuller picture of what to expect.

My answer to your question, SolaLove, is NO! He should NOT score her a 10. Why? the 4th word you wrote above, newer, says it all. It may the best he has had so far, that certainly doesn't make his experience Once in a Lifetime. And again as you wrote, several months later, he met someone else. Now we're getting closer to making a judgment. Maybe after a few years, and a real basis of comparison, he can give out a 10. Or perhaps we can strike a compromise: create a new category, 11, and limit that to one per reviewer. But we still cant get away from the dictionary definition of ONCE. The way it is now clearly dilutes the 10 rating. If you will do YOUR homework, and I don't mean to be hostile, you will see that some reviewers have given 4 and 5 and even 6 reviews of 10.  P.S. Thank you at least for calling it an interesting thought.

You are taking the numbers way too seriously!  Do your homework and don't get so bent out of shape over what other people should or should not be doing.  If you really want to be persnickety, a gentleman can correctly hand out dozens of 10's and be fine within the dictionary definition.  A moment in time, a particular encounter between two people - never to be precisely repeated, and thus, once in a lifetime.

BTW, if you don't mean to be hostile, then don't be. :)

I am not in a position to look it up now, but I will be later. And if what you wrote is truly the dictionary definition, you will get an apology from me.

I believe the problem is the meaning of the word "lifetime". Lifetime is all the life that you have lived up to that point in your life. I think when these guys are rating the women a "10", they are sincere and based on their experiences up to that moment (their lifetime), that woman was a ten.

The problem is that your "lifetime" changes everyday until you die. Once you die, then yes, you can go back through all the women you have ever been with and rate only 1 the "once in a lifetime".

Think back when you were in grade school and had a crush on some little girl. To you, she was probably the end all of all womanhood. I bet you don't even remember her name. Your experience has shifted and now your "10" is totally different. Ten years from now, you'll look back on your "10" of 2010 and probably wonder what you were thinking.

Bottom line, you can only truly have a "once in a lifetime" after you die or quit having wonderful hobbying experiences that continue to blow your mind. I hope neither one of those happens!
