It would make my life better and I think simple to implement.  

MtDewKing could write up the code in 10 minutes?!?!??!  

I kid, but it is so much more efficient...

you do know that...

... when you read a post in the thread... the color of that post changes.

you knew that, right?

so, why did you need to mark a forum as being read when all you have to do is look at the color changes of the posts.
