someone has written a review for me and i have no idea who it is. the numbers are somewhat unfavorable, but the content of the review reads favorably. there is not one thing that the reviewer wrote that could describe any appointment that i have ever experienced.

any suggestions on how to handle the situation?
i've contacted ter support- they won't do anything about it
i've contacted the reviewer twice - he won't respond
i've contacted the other provider he reviewed - she hasn't responded

i realize that it's probably not worth getting my panties up in a bunch about, but i'm a bit of a perfectionist and i don't like it when people lie about me or use me to get free vip or mislead others into thinking they've seen me when they haven't. i don't think it's too much to ask that if you're gonna write a fake review of me, that you at least get some of the facts right.

the faq's state that ""MY REVIEW WAS NOT VERIFIABLE. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? We use this term if we suspect the review is false. The burden of proof is on the member who wrote the review." (excerpted from FAQ's)
apparently this is not true.
i've followed every polite protocol that i can think of to no avail....
and yes, the numbers DO matter to me - i'm a bit of a perfectionist - if i knew who the reviewer was, i could determine if his assessment of me was justifiable and i could move on...

any advice (be nice please) would be much appreciated...
otherwise, consider this my 2 cents rant and move along ;) lol

...it's a matter of "he said/she said", they won't remove the review.

You have to point out discrepancies in the review from your normal M.O.

His review is very generic so it could be difficult. He said he emailed you and arranged an appointment for the next day.  Is that how you do it?  Don't you check references?  Would you even see a guy with one review if he didn't provide you other verification?

He said he took a shower with you.  Do you normally do that with the guy?

He said you applied the condom with your mouth.  Do you ever do that?

If you can prove that you don't do the things he said you did, then TER may remove the review.

and remember to be very polite with TER because they have responded to some gals I know who get in their face about things by removing all their reviews, and you don't want to risk that.

More than likely, you'll just have to cowboy up for this one and take it.

The reviewer has only one other review, and the numbers are similar.  Some reviewers take TER's numbering system to heart rather than add a point or two.

Any serious client is going to recognize that, and won't hold it against you.

Think of it as the dent that every new car owner knows is going to happen after a while, and then get over it.

thank you papasan:)
those are the EXACT points that i made when i asked them to investigate.
I rarely take a shower with a client - if i do, it's at the end of an appt. & i'd certainly remember, because it's rare that i do.
I don't apply covers in that manner, if i have, it was a very, very long time ago and certainly not within the past month. I don't care to do cbj- covers taste gross- tee hee hee.

nothing about the review is my style. absolutely nothing.

they've decided to let the review stand until the fella decides to respond to them - that could be indefinitely...

Dear Ms. More :
I was wondering why don't you ask a regular of yours with whom you see frequently to write and refute these events? At least it would come from a reliable source since he would be with you on a more recent basis. He would be able to speak to your tendencies and practices as an adult companionship professional.
