How about making a "Dedicated Thread for Posting Gift Card Redemption Values."  
It would depend on a couple (or more) of things:
- voluntary posting of recent transactions by VIPers.
- TER allowing what might be proprietary info to be posted about their finances and memberships.

I suppose it could be a thread for posting "Recent GC Redemption Values" for all sorts of purchases.
Posts could be:  
"I just paid for a subscription to Hustler using an anonymous Target Gift Card. The monetizing company paid 70% of the card value." ("But they have your name and address for the subscription." "No, they don't. I bought it for the pastor of my church ."  
"I just paid for a membership at The Art of Submission. I got 50% for an Omaha Steaks GC and 80% for a Victoria's Secret GC."
