I am getting more and more frustrated with the rating system here.
My last review I realized I couldn't rate a provider a ten on performance because she wouldn't do things with me I didn't want to do. Ya, that seems a little strange doesn't it. For the last few days I've been trying to find some providers in cities I'll be traveling to and it's taking a very long time. I believe it is again do to the rating system. I'm going to avoid the sensitive topic of "is it fair to turn an encounter into a set of numbers". Let's face it, more of us have never met than have met. We need some subjective unit of measure or we will never be able to narrow options down. I was thinking it would be really helpful if there were categories than Looks and Performance. *Looks* I get, 100% subjective. One persons opinion. It is what it is. *Performance* I don't get. It is not 100% subjective. It is both subjective and quantitative. For instance if, during that session, no matter if the provider was willing to perform a BBBJ, if the the hobbiest wasn't interested, the provider gets penalized a point. Sometimes that doesn't seem right. A provider can be freaking phenomenal during the session and wind up with a 9 or and 8. That has a two fold impact. 1) The providers scores get impacted and 2)It impacts how long it takes to find the right providers. I'd love to know how many providers in a particular city, say Las Vegas, people think have great Looks great than 9 and Performance greater than 9, regardless of acts that they are willing to perform. *Bonus* A third score could be added to included, quantitatively, bonus activities that were included in the session. Then the hobbiest could decide what they think. The other addition I would make is to include in the list of reviews for each provider more information about the reviewer. Not personal information, but how many reviews they've done and what their average scores are in each area (Looks and Performance). This would really save me (and let's face it -- it's all about me) time. Currently I click on the details for a provider, the look through their reviews, then click on the reviewers to get an idea of how they review. For example if a reviewer has 10s for looks for everyone, he is either very lucky in his selections, or doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings. bubbling that information up could help. Just one mans opinion...That's an interesting approach. On the plus side, everything get's a performance review, on the negative side - everything get's a performance review. That's could be a nuisance. For me, performance in a session really speaks to the entire session. It answers the question "Did the provider really make an awesome session happen?". I'm not sure how I would rate cuddling
The other point you bring up is probably key -- "Many suggestions, many ignored suggestions".
Who controls these suggestions? Is there some way to actually discuss proposals with someone who can effect change?
My beef is that it depends not on how well a gal does something, but whether or not she does this or that, and often the this or that is something I don't care too much about (Really bi, for example.)
So, sorry to have to say this as it is said every time this topic come up, but there is no substitute for actually reading the reviews and seeing what each reviewers experience was, then deciding for yourself.
And as for your last suggestion to have a record of each reviewer's reviews, that exists already: Just click on the reviewer and you'll see his or her review history. This is important because I pay more attention to an 8 given by a reviewer who seldom scores over a 7, then a 9 from someone who mostly gives out 10s.
I totally agree with your point about trusting someone who gives an 8 when they usually give 7s. For clarification I am proposing that the reviewers averages be included in the list for the providers, so you don't have to spend all day clicking back and forth between several reviewers. If I can see in the list that the reviewer is giving a ten for this particular provider and averages 9.7 for all providers, given your example above, I can save myself a click on the review.
It may seem insignificant, but it is crazy how much time you can spend trying to get a decent set of baseline information. I'm afraid TER views it as "Wow, look how much people are using our website!" not as "How can we get people the information they need in as few clicks as possible?"
You hit on something important here: not everyone wants a provider who is “really bi!” As someone who is, it’s great that I have the ability to get more points, but the percentage of my encounters that involve another woman are small. So why is it such a huge part of the potential score, equal with BBBJ? Most men I’ve encoubtered really value the BBBJ, but many don’t care about how I interact with women, since it doesn’t happen often.
There should be a way to rate based on how a provider performed /what you wanted/. If you had a threeway and she wasn’t really into it, then of course take that into account. But not unless that’s what your ideal scenario included.
I wish someone from TER would get involved. The lack of response makes me want to build an alternative site.
