I am getting more and more frustrated with the rating system here.
My last review I realized I couldn't rate a provider a ten on performance because she wouldn't do things with me I didn't want to do. Ya, that seems a little strange doesn't it.
For the last few days I've been trying to find some providers in cities I'll be traveling to and it's taking a very long time. I believe it is again do to the rating system. I'm going to avoid the sensitive topic of "is it fair to turn an encounter into a set of numbers". Let's face it, more of us have never met than have met. We need some subjective unit of measure or we will never be able to narrow options down.
I was thinking it would be really helpful if there were categories than Looks and Performance.
*Looks* I get, 100% subjective. One persons opinion. It is what it is.
*Performance* I don't get. It is not 100% subjective. It is both subjective and quantitative. For instance if, during that session, no matter if the provider was willing to perform a BBBJ, if the the hobbiest wasn't interested, the provider gets penalized a point. Sometimes that doesn't seem right. A provider can be freaking phenomenal during the session and wind up with a 9 or and 8. That has a two fold impact. 1) The providers scores get impacted and 2)It impacts how long it takes to find the right providers. I'd love to know how many providers in a particular city, say Las Vegas, people think have great Looks great than 9 and Performance greater than 9, regardless of acts that they are willing to perform.
*Bonus* A third score could be added to included, quantitatively, bonus activities that were included in the session. Then the hobbiest could decide what they think.
The other addition I would make is to include in the list of reviews for each provider more information about the reviewer. Not personal information, but how many reviews they've done and what their average scores are in each area (Looks and Performance). This would really save me (and let's face it -- it's all about me) time. Currently I click on the details for a provider, the look through their reviews, then click on the reviewers to get an idea of how they review. For example if a reviewer has 10s for looks for everyone, he is either very lucky in his selections, or doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings. bubbling that information up could help.
Just one mans opinion...
