i would not PM an alias on a bet..if they dont want me to know who they really are..why would i want to send them a personal message when they obviously do not want any by virtue of their 'very private' persona..

I get PMs on occasion from people using their alias, but I can not send them a reply.  Why should that be?  Certainly there must be a way that they can get a reply without their alias being compromised.

In this particular case, I really wanted to get a response to the person, and I hope they don't think I am snubbing them when they don't get the response.

I think the alias PM feature is only available on "new" TER. (just like the stupid "like" and "ignore" buttons and some other recent changes) I know some if you holdouts refuse to make the switch but there are a lot of features not available to you on classic.
