one of my regular providers had a great idea..TER has listed on each 'my TER" a section called "my favorites"..she said she wished they had a section called "my favorites" on her profile page..i think is a innovative idea..each provider could list her 5 or top 10 favorite clients in this section..it would be a version of a personal whitelist and lists the handles of the clients she thinks are worthy of her list..it would be a great ego boost for those clients listed..be a source of PM material for other providers looking for reliable clients..also a source of PM material for prospective new clients looking for an honest evaluation of the said provider..we have top 10 lists and favorites..this would combine the two elements into one from a providers viewpoint..i love the idea..maybe the TER brass will too..

the selection of these five or whatever number of clients.

Some clients might be offended that they didn't get listed.

Some clients might see this as unwanted attention.

The White List already serves as a means of screening, so that purpose would be redundent.

Clients are the main ones who look up a provider's profile, so why would they care whom the provider wants to list at their favorites anyways?

With a limit as you propose of "5 favorite guys" the system would be rife with cronyism and corruption worse than we have now.  As far as it being "PM material for other providers looking for reliable clients" --- That is called  fishing SPAM and not allowed by TER. and is a BANNABLE offense!   :-(

Your idea is frankly a lousy and dumb, and would promote spam & corrution.

between your "reverse white list" and the white list other than you cap it at 5 or 10 hobbyists or some other arbitrary number. And as far as "providers looking for reliable clients" and pm'ing other providers, tha't s never gonna fly. Bottom line, bad idea.

Are the providers able to see if you marked them as a favorite?

It is correct that the White List does this to an extent if the provider only lists her favorites, but that is not what the White Listed is about, as I understand it. Rather, the White List endorses a guy as acceptable and safe to see, but it doesn't do much more to help a provider know about the guy who is White Listed. There may be other reasons s provider will or won't want to see a guy who is White Listed.
A more informative and fair system would allow the providers to score the guys, just like we do for the providers for looks and performance.  I know many guys might be unhappy to see this info, but it could be for "providers only" so we guys don't have to have our ego's deflated by honest reviews of us. The provider input wouldn't have to be as detailed, and scores could be more limited, but it could actually enhance the experience for both the guys and the providers. Including comments about what really turns the guy,or his special interests would make White Listing more useful for both providers and guys. I am not sure TER would agree.  TER is very protective of the guy clients, even when they write outrageously misleading, inaccurate and hurtful reviews. I think it is only fair that providers have some way to communicate to other providers about the guys they see. It might make some jerks think twice about how they treat women who are professional and serious about this business.  If a guy doesn't want anything posted he could just not ask to be White Listed.  I know of one situation where a guy asked to be White Listed, then wrote a disgusting review, which TER refused to remove. Totally unfair to the providers and to those of us who would never do something like that  It should be helpful both ways
I will be interested to hear what both providers and guys think.

The client is the one paying for the service.   Why would I want to "rate" the client, for other providers to see???  What did I PAY for to be able to have that privilege to rate my customer.    It is very unprofessional to do that.     YMMV and personal taste applies to all provider/client relationships.  I can think someone is Fantastic while the next provider thinks "ho hum".   and then MY personal taste would be called into question by another lady???     TER exists for the convenience of the Hobbyist.  Pure and Simple.     (I love this site for that very reason!!)

I think when a lady says that to a client, like the one said to the OP, they are really just  trying to give a compliment to the gent they are with.....       basically saying that "I wish all clients were as nice as you".

100% in agreement.     The lady who said that to the OP didn't think about the repercussions of that if there were to be such an option to do that.   If there WERE, I would never participate in it.     Very unprofessional.  IMHO.  of course.  :)

To each their own.   Which is why we operate as "independents".
