After my commission and I arrived at my Permanent Duty Station, my commander asked 2 questions, do you have a girlfriend and if so when are you getting married.  I was 22 and I got married 6 months later to my longtime girlfriend.  Guys who I knew in college and remained unmarrid who slept with different women and got married later in life, are still married.  Coincidence?  Perhaps but when you are young it is rather difficult to understand the complexity of marriage and when your wife nag and only give you sex after you completed your list of honet do - the comfront if a young hot body seems like a better option.  Why not have your cake (stability) and eat it too (other women).

athletes overlook is the possibility of paternal suits. You read of some guys who father multiple kids by multiple women. Travis Henry, who is out of football and facing federal drug charges, is on the hook for child support for at least nine children. When Derrick Thomas was killed several years ago, the mothers of his children were all standing in line for a piece of his estate.  Another sad example of personal responsibility going down the toilet, and pro athletes thinking they're invincible.

but I am surprised about golf considering it's the most conservative of sports. Nevertheless, I have been to the Bryon Nelson Classic in Dallas and the Phoenix Open, and it's amazing the amount of hot women at those tournaments.

I read that article.  I don't know why he's so convinced that marriage equals lying.  What if they perfectly believe they are faithfully marrying at the time?

I think the author point is that most of these men know they will not be faithful.  Case in point, a good friend of mine cheated on his girlfriend throughout their relationship and was convinced that he would be faithful - but in reality marriage is a 15 minute ceremony and he is back to his cheating ways.
