That's why I asked if anyone really think they can win

I am soooo glad that pussy liorr is a chickenshit little cunt, I think he saved me money.

I "thought" Detroit had a good chance to beat the Yanks, and they still have a chance and Sabbathia blew his start as predicted, but Nova at home??? No, I don't think I can bet against the Yankees at home, especially with Fister on the mound again for Detroit.

You Yankee fans should name the rain your MVP for this series, I was relishing the prospect of Verlander going against Sabbathia twice, but this match up definitely favors the Yankees, and I am not a fan, so my money has shifted to the Yankees tonight. and if I'm wrong I'll still get the satisfaction of shutting liorr;s big, fat, pussy mouth for a day or two. That might even be worth the money I'll lose on the game. lol

If they were going to lose, they would have lost with Burnett on the mound in Detroit.  Yanks will move on.  Good night Detroit.

I sure am hoping the Tigers can pull the upset. Its going to be tough, if the Yankees get any kind of lead Rivera is coming in the 8th inning!!

I am actually with Hardy on this one. I think Nova can contain the Tigers and I think the Yankees will get to Fister again, I am giving the run line -1 1/2 +125 hooked up with the over 9 total.  I rarely give more than flat money, at minus 156 you have to be right two thirds of the time just to break even

It is why they play the games.

I think a lot of runs will be scored tonight, and for my sake I hope I'm right lol.

It was expected that Verlander would match up with Sabbathia twice in the five game series, the rain out ended that. I believe that Verlander would have won both games against Sabbathia, and that would be the difference in the series. Unfortunately we will never know. lol

I also think that the Rangers will beat whoever ends up winning tonight. A seven game series will expose a lot of weaknesses that aren't as evident in a five game series. Same with the Phillies, that's why I said the Cards were the most likely to beat the Phillies, their depth at pitcher will get them past any other team in baseball right now, You only need two great pitchers in a five game series, depth will prevail in the LCS for both the AL and NL

Verlander and Sabbathia only faced each other ONCE, if not for the overnight rain delay, they would have faced each other TWICE, everything else about the rain is irrelevant to my point.

Have you been spending too much time arguing with ng?

lol I hope so, At -170 there's not much value in the money line. I think I got really good value at +105 on the over, but we will find out tonight.

Good luck on the parlay!!

Fortunately, the Yankee bats may have awoken just in time. Nova just has to keep the Yankees in the game heading into the 6th-9th innings. Don't implode.  If he pitches 5 innings, giving up 3 or less runs, the Yankees should be fine. With the exception of Velverde, the Yankees have the advantage in the pen and thus a clear advantage in the later innings. Once they knock Fister out of the game (and if they can't do that, they are in trouble), I say the Yankees can get a few additional runs off the Tiger relievers.

Prediction: Yankees 8 Tigers 4

But I don't think Fister is as bad as you think.  He was actually pretty good until his last inning. And the Tigers have some bats.  Still, I think the Yanks will pull it out in the end.  As for the rain, it cut both ways.  In the game Verlander won in NY it started to rain hard twice while the Yanks were at bat.  Both Jeter and Cano had a hard time seeing the ball and failed to get key hits.  And don't forget, Verlander, as great as he is, gave up 4 runs.
I would love to see the Yanks win, roll through the Rangers as they have all season and get the Cards in the Series.  The Phillies scare me, even though Lee now looks beatable and Oswalt was far from great last night.

Not being a betting man, I have no idea what you just said.  Good luck anyway.

Just because you asked, I can see Nova loosing tonight. His record is 16 - 4 out of 27 starts this year. So that's about 59% wins rate or 41% loss rate. It is possible he gets chased early.

But here is what is really great about these situations. It's one and done. Someone on occasion comes up with a great effort to turn the tide. Of the 18 players on the field 50% of them play for Detroit.

I think you can throw the stats, home field and Yankee fans out the window.

The baseball gods are deciding right now who the winner will be. We just have to wait a bit to find out their decision.

Just for the Hell of It.

Prediction: Tigers 8    Yankees 4

in terms of also hurting the Yankees.  I agree re a 7 vs. 5 game series though.

I think Nova will do well tonight, however if Nova does not have it tonight the YANKEES have a much better pen and they are well rested.

Thank you

Aside from the fact that the Yank-Mes lost tonight, which means that I will be happy WHOEVER wins the World Series...

Aside from the fact that you are, as a TER moderator, supposed to have enough decorum to not insult even idiots like liorr (not that it's ever stopped you)...

No game could have been more thrilling than to see your supposed omniscient greatness eat shit. You even tried to cynically cover your ass in your post, just so you could play both ends (and you call liorr a pussy?), but your subject line says it all.

This will be my last post...ever...on any board on TER. You can post whatever you like to this afterwards...I won't read it or reply to it, so call me whatever you like...I don't care. I don't even care if you have it deleted...I'll know I posted it. I am going out in style...loser!

AHH HAAAA!!!

So, with that understood, I added that the rain issue also cut against the Yanks in the Jeter and Cano at-bats.  Am I clear now, Captain Obvious!  lol!  I mean, I know you've got a lot of  posts to read (including ones with bad links, lol!) but  I think if you go back and read my first post on this you'll see that's what I meant.

MSD, the biggest cunt on the boards is gone. This calls for a celebration, would it be pushing my luck to ask you to take liorr with you??? roflmfao

Now all I have to do is get my money back on either Milwaukee or the Phillies and my day will be complete. lol
