Both me and my dad are big NASCAR fans. We have not seen each other in 12 years. I have decided to put an end to that by buying "Bank Of America 500" tickets for Lowe's Motor Speedway and inviting my dad down from Wisconsin to go with me. What is the best site to go to to get my tickets at a good price? I have never been to a "Live Race" yet, so I appreciate any input on this. Thank you.
I got 4 Daytona 500 tickets at a decent price a few years ago.
In this economy, you could start at Nascar.com and follow the tickets link. They haven't sold out much this year, and I saw plenty of people selling them at the track in Las Vegas this year.
Little Phil is spot on. Even back when most all races were sold out....it was always possible to buy tickets at the track. Best place to check is the RV lots. But I would advise you get yout tix in advance just for the comfort level. Charlotte is a great facility and there are still tix available in the front grandstand. I reommend getting tix in a "High row"...better view of the entire track. Having a radio scanner is also highly recommended.
The more difficult task may be finding accomodations nearby. As this is your first event, I'd also suggest you get there a day or two early and visit one of the team shops and at least drive by the Hall of Fame that's under construction.
