ESPN's Buster Olney reported while ago that the Cubs may go after Joe Girardi to fill the manager's job. Girardi's contract is up after this year and it's thought that the Yankees won't want to pay top dollar to keep him. Girardi is a local boy, graduated from Northwestern and is from Illinois. But no matter who they hire, they need to blow up that roster and start over. Soriano and Zambrano need to be elsewhere next year for starters. Should be an interesting process.

I think Torre is on his last managerial gig. I definitely can't see him going back to the Yankees.  Girardi seems to be a perfect fit for the current Yankee team. I wouldn't want to go to the Cubs because right now, the team is a train wreck.

Jerry Manuel will be available...........Hmmmm never mind, the Cubs I'm sure will want someone who will at least try to win.

Any changes must be systematic, starting in the front office.  Until the current baffoon (Hendry) has been replaced by Ricketts, the team will continue to flounder because of his poor deal-making abilities.  That list just goes on and on and on and ...
