You have to punt 4th and 1 on your own 30 yard line!

The bar I watched it at was loaded with Steelers' fans (not I) and they even stopped and looked at the Falcon's game in wonder.

We as fans need to take a kinder, gentler view of our teams and coaches  at time like this.

You realize with your current attitude  may qualify you to move to New York City and become a Jets fan.

Be kind to your team and coach, they had a rough day yesterday.

After all, WTF was he thinking?

With over 10 minutes left in OT (and having already stopped the Saints once in overtime) deciding to gamble on 4th down from your own 30 yard line defies any sense of football logic. If you get stopped, which they did, the Saints are already in FG range. Punt the ball, play the field position game and rely on your defense to get the ball back. No matter how Mike Smith spins it, the only logical conclusion is that he had zero confidence in his defense to stop the Saints again.

A few years ago, Belichick gambled on 4th and 2 from his own 28 against the Colts with just over two minutes to play. A first down virtually wins the game for the Pats and obviously Belichick didnt want to give Peyton the ball again (these were the good old days when the Colts were winning games!!). Of course the Patriots got stopped, Indy took the ball over and scored in the closing seconds to win. Belichick got destroyed in the media for not punting...but at least the Pats were up 6 where the FG doesnt beat them.

Speaking of the J-E-S-T JEST JEST JEST; did you hear what Sxy Rexy said about Sanchez' calling timeout right before scoring with 1:24 left in the 1st half, thereby giving Brady time to drive downfield and score? "The stupidest play in NFL history!" Gotta love him!

Actually, ole Rex kinda of disappointed me. I mean his press conference was a little mute without any creative excuses.

It was really a small mistake by Sanchez'  as far as I was concerned. I think a bigger mistake was letting Brady and the bunch kick their ass all over the field.

I mean they got outplayed all  4 quarters by offense, defense and special teams. But I guess that 1 min and something was huge according to Rex.

I love it.

stupid decisions and bad time management undermined a great effort.  A bad challenge, don't even get me started on that onside kick, and then to ice the cake you run the ball on 4th and inches in OT with ten minutes left.  Mind blowing decisions.  Even my grandmother could see the play they're going to call - Saints defense surely did.  Turner, right up the middle.  Bad move, Smitty, handing over the ball in a game-clinching play on your own thirty.  Kasay can kick a 50+ yard field goal with nothing on it, and you give him the ball at the 30?  Jeez.

Manage your timeouts and challenges better.  The club showed up to play, unfortunately the coach was mentally absent.  And I like Mike Smith.  I'm just totally confused about where his head was.
