we have seen by now miami, oklahoma and michigan are NOT what people thought they were. stanford beat usc and everyone named them great, but they arent. ND hasnt beat bama, lsu, georgia, florida, oregon, kstate and WONT BEAT USC
Tide would crush the Irish offense, I believe-If they play, which I doubt, I'll bet the ranch on UA. I also think that for the phantom interference call when it was 20-6 thet led to the first Irish TD with Pitt then playing scared and also missing a very makeable FG, we wouldn't be having a conversation. ND was a very fortunate winner IMHO.
they were down 20-6 at the start of the 4th Qtr and came back to win the game. if you want to play your game, if sierra wood didn't fumble going in for the winning TD that kid would have never had the chance to miss the FG.
you don't know ND fans. i don't know a single one, including me, who think they could beat alabama. an undefeated season with a win over USC is enough for their first decent season in forever.
i like alabama too but i saw plenty of holes in them saturday night that they better, well saban will, address because A & M just may jump and bite them if they don't.

fan base-I lived in Birmingham for 12 years in the 70s and 80s and found Bama fans to be rather classy (the LSU teabagger the obvious exception) and generous folks-Are you sure those non tipping fans weren't from Auburn? smile Glad you've got a good team this year.
but it's true about the different fans who come in . just about any service based worker in downtown/mid-town Atlanta will tell you same. the bama fans tend to stay in their rooms and party where the LSU, FLA and even Tenn ( yuck) people hit the clubs/ bars/ restaurants and throw money around.
and i love the people in Alabama. it's where i live.
