It defies football logic for a team to be so offensively inept for 55 plus minutes, game after game, and then all of sudden, when they need to score, Tewbow calmly leads them on scoring drives. Whatever he may lack in conventional QB play, he ceratinly makes up for in his ability to make plays (whether with his arms or legs) when it matters most.
Yes, Denver was the beneficiary yesterday of the Bears miscues down the stretch....running back going out of bounds to stop the clock at the end of regulation and of course Barber's fumble in OT. But to Denver's credit, they take advantage of the other teams mistakes and capitalize on them.
The bottom line is that you better put the Broncos away early. Because if you leave Tebow within striking distance at the end of the game, he has shown the ability to rise to the occassion an pull out a victory.
but only because half the time when Timmy is praying, he's personally thanking God for his (not McDaniels) good fortune. These come from behind wins are great drama, but he's still only a so so quarter back who is one big hit from being sidelined. Don't think I run the risk of offending any religious nuts here, but for a guy who was the star at Florida and couldn't manage to get laid the whole time he was there, think the whole aspect of the guy's faith is a big part of this craziness. I'd like to see where all these Tebow nuts would be if he was Buddhist, Muslim, or anything other then a bible thumping virgin.
