It has something to do with the Maryland Terrapins collegiate athletic teams.

Their mascot is a turtle and I believe our resident chief OSP has some connection with them as "fear the turtle" is his motto.

Hope I didn't steal OSP's thunder.

Now what's with the alias dude?

As already noted, 'Fear the Turtle' is the war cry of Maryland Terrapin fans of which our bud, OSP, is the major banner carrier on this board-Note: It is unanimously reported by the providers he's seen that 'OSP' stands for 'One Short Peetie'-lol-and he's really a good guy, no matter what everyone says about him (Sorry, OSP, the Devil(s) made me do it-ha ha)  1rob....OUT  8-)
