that is close to your heart. Atlanta beat the shit out of Green Bay. They were the winners at half time with no hope for NewEngland. This is one of those "shit-happens" moments.
I'm actually much more an Atlanta fan though they're not my favorite team by far. I've told many people recently it will be awesome watching Goodell hand the trophy to Brady.
I've never cheered for Brady unless I'm betting on him though I can't help but always respect him for his focus and tenacity.
The photo of Brady staring down a beaten Goodell will be a classic. I had no idea his Mom was not doing well. I see where Tom Brady got his strength and fortitude.
Yeah, there was literally no hope but between NE getting their butts into gear and Atlanta letting them run over them...
I got to say, NE really was lucky to come back from 25 pts down.
I am happy they won, that's my team BUT the game overall was shameful for NE.

Lucky Tom Brady didn't transfer to California when he was attending U Michigan and lose his mind.
Lucky Tom Brady wasn't drafted by another team after he was passed up round after round in the 2000 Draft, when NE finally picked him # 199 in the sixth round.
Lucky Tom Brady had patience waiting for his chance to start with NE while he was fourth string QB
Lucky Baltimore Ravens fired Bill Belichick.
Lucky New England hired Bill Belichick as Coach.
Lucky New England plays together very well like a close knit family.
Lucky New England players have immense respect for Tom Brady.
Lucky Tom Brady has immense respect for his team mates.
Lucky Atlanta got cocky, wasting valuable energy, stupidly celebrating a win before they lost.
Lucky Tom Brady and the Patriots never give up.
Lucky Tom Brady proved last night he can take a big time beat down and get up stronger.
Lucky New England won the overtime coin toss so Tom Brady and the Patriots could quickly terminate Atlanta.
I am as big of a Pats fan as anyone but we have to admit the Bennett catch of the duck early in the game, and the Edelman catch were lucky - either could easily have gone the other way. on Atlanta's play calling, their reliance on big (deep) plays all year finally caught up to them. Short pass attempts on the critical plays would have taken a sack out of play. The missed block on the Hightower sack I would not put into the luck category as the scheme showed (ie faked) a blitz from another point that got the rb's attention allowing Hightower to get the edge.
Leading by 8 with time running down and in field goal range, instead of running the ball, they call a pass play which results in a sack. Then they call another pass play which has a holding penalty. Suddenly that field goal which would have put them up by 11 is gone. The rest is history.
When Jones made an incredible catch and the Falcons had the ball 1st down on the 22 with 4 minutes, they were in great shape.... IF THE PLAY CALLING HADNT BECOME RIDICULOUS. You are up 8 and are well within FG range to put you up 11. RUN THE BALL 3 times...Either the Pats use all 3 timeouts or the Falcons can bleed about 2 minutes off the clock. Why the heck are you passing on 2nd down...and to make matters worse Ryan takes a sack. A SACK??? Your the MVP of the league and an 8 year vet.. You have to better than that.... YOU CAN NOT TAKE A SACK...get rid of the ball somehow. Now they have to throw in order to try and get back into reasonable FG range...which led to the holding penalty and ultimately a punt...the rest is history.
And then you listen after to the NFL pundits telling all of us how young the Falcons are and how they are primed for a 3-4 year run at the SB. HELLO??? Football doesn't work that way. This isn't basketball where you know the Spurs are making the playoffs.. Too many injuries, bounce of the ball will derail most NFL seasons. No guarantees that Matt Ryan even makes a conference title game ever again. They had a SB won and blew it. They (owners, coaches, players and fans) will take that game to their frickin grave.
having another chance at a SB. They will never ever be up 28 to 3 against any team in a SB. One really amazing moment was watch Brady march 90 yards for a TD and the game. JEEEEZ.
