For the 2nd time in 3 years, a California team has won the Little League World Series as HB defeated the team from Japan 2-1. The best story of the Series, however, was the local team from Pennsylvania. They played before crowds larger than a lot of major league teams. Bravo Zulu to all the teams for giving their best shot.

last 6 and have reestablished dominance-Seems like Taipei/Taiwan won in a bunch of years with boys who looked like they were in their late teens and were shaving-I think the birth certificate checks are a lot better than they used to be, especially since the kid from NY-Danny something- got caught with a fake one after throwing a perfect game a few years back-It is a great tournament and always enjoyable-seems the kids keep getting bigger and bigger-when I played-back in the 'dark ages', the fences were at 200 ft-now they're at 225 and they're still blasting them over-The final was awesome with the Japanese team, who played great defense throughout getting a couple of rare errors at ss to aid the California cause-

This was a great LLWS. The 42k who showed for the game with the local PA team is what's it's all about.

It was cool to watch . HB just had too much pitching.  In 6 games, they only allowed 3 runs, and 2 of them were unearned.  Congrats to them.

Taiwan was actually banned from the LLWS for several years because Little League found out that there was only one league on the entire island.  That is a player pool of about 2,000 kids.  No wonder they were so dominant for so long.  I don't believe they have won the world series since.
