Now we know what happens when you mess with LeBron James' "crew:" they trade you to the Jets. The Browns just traded Edwards to the Jets for 2 players and 2 draft choices. I suspect that there were other prevailing football reasons, but the timing is curious.

First its Kellen Winslow; now Braylon Edwards. I am not sure what the Browns are doing (except being run by a dictator with no clue how to deal with players as professionals...i.e. doling out a $1,700 fine...not a misprint... to a player who took a $3 bottle of water out of a hotel mini bar during training camp) Clearly, Edwards/Winslow were their two most talented offensive weapons over the past few years and now both are out of there. They are completely unsettled at the QB position as both Quinn and Anderson are prob. playing on a game by game basis. This has the makings of a VERY long season in Cleveland

Give the Jets credit. Because of Edward's circumstances with Cleveland (and he clearly did not want to be there) they acquired a player with Pro Bowl skils for way below market value

fourth round draft pick while he was at the New York Jets. Vilma picked off an interception against the Jets last week. New Orleans saints defense is lookin pretty good.

When are NFL owners going to wise up and stop giving Eric Mangini a coaching job? Besides, I don't respect snitches.
