Competition: Chargers at Broncos, 9/11

Hi everybody!  

Finally, football season is upon us! Long time friends here on the sports board know that that can mean only one thing, weekly TER football is back! The rules are, as you might expect, shockingly similar to the rules for the baseball competition - simply pick the winner of the Monday night football game correctly BEFORE 5PM EASTERN ON MONDAY to win yourself 2 VIP days. What could be easier than that?

I am going to announce one minor rule change this year - please let me know how you feel about it because it's certainly not set in stone - if the spread at the time of making this post each week is a touchdown or more, we're going to use that handicap when making the picks. I seem to recall there being SO many 11+ point plus spreads when making these posts last year and at some point, if the pick is that easy to make, where's the fun? Now, this doesn't apply this week (Chargers -3, for what it's worth), but keep an eye out going forward.

I say either take the spread into account or not at all.  I always hate picking with a speared.

Maybe something like 1 day straight pick and 1 day with the spread?
