I would think Verlander is a lock because of his 24 wins. Kershaw probably has the edge over Kennedy because of his 2.27 ERA and 242 strikeouts, plus the fact that he's pitching for a sorry team.

Is Clayton Kershaw a wrap? Why not Kennedy NL

With Verlanders ERA at 2.29 and Kennedy at 2.38 this one seems tight   AL

They dumped him and kept Joba and Hughes - major mistake. Sure Granderson has 40+ HR, but in that fucking bandbox of a stadium and that lineup, they would have been better off with more pitching. And Cashman asleep at the wheel re: Cliff Lee will eventually be their downfall.

Verlander is a lock in the AL and is probably MVP too. Kershaw has the edge in the NL.

Jeff Karstens, an excellent pitcher who came up with Kennedy, now doing terrific work with the Pirates.  The Yankees have a long history of giving up too early on pitching prospects.

Verlander in a close race.  It should be unanimous.  IMPO, he should win the MVP, and I never thought I would say that about a pitcher.

There shouldn't be a close race in either league. Verlander is a no brainer as is Kershaw, who leads the NL in wins, strikeouts and ERA.

Jayson Verlander is the obvious pick in the AL...he leads in wins, ERA, strike-outs, overall winning percentage, and WHIP.  As for the NL, Clayton Kershaw deserves the nod over Roy Halladay....
