Both coaches were wrong

Memo to Jim Harbaugh. As they say, act like you've been there. Yes, you won a tightly contested game on the road against a good team. But this was game 6 of the season. Do you really need to sprint across the field like a crazed madman, lifting your shirt as you go in an attempt to chest bump someone? About 20 yards from meeting Jim Schwartz, slow down, walk over, look the man in the eye and shake his hand in a respectful way...dont be a classless winner.

Memo to Jim Schwartz. What the heck were you thinking? Yeah, Harbaugh acting like an idiot in the aftermath of the game, but really, chasing him down the field? Even if he did utter an obscentity, who cares. What were you going to do, throw a punch? Come on. So the guy acted like an ass after winning and didn't follow "NFL protocol" in shaking your hand in an appropriate way. At the end of the day, just walk away. You made yourself look just as much of an idiot as Harbaugh.

I think Harbaugh is the jerk- you don't slap the losing coach on the back real hard and use an obscenity when you congratulate him.

Things the news doesn't report

The year after Jim Kelly retired he was working for ESPN and Harbaugh was still playing. In an after game interview a pencil neck reporter was going with the Captain Comeback BS and Harbaugh was eating it up.  Kelly spoke up and said "Captain Comeback huh, Elway has more comebacks than you have fingers and toes. " Harbaugh flew over the table, swung on Kelly and dotted his eye. Well, Kelly isn't Jim Schwartz and Harbaugh found that out real quick.

ESPN fired Kelly and told him he wasn't a player anymore and Sports analysts don't brawl with the players.

Watch the video again. Harbaugh didn't do anything wrong. He simply shook hands with Schwartz and patted (not slapped) him on the back and Schwartz went ballistic for some reason.

What Harbaugh did wrong was that he acted like a crazed madman in approaching Schwartz. He was seen lifting his shirt up in an attempt to chest bump one of his players. Relax. There is a certain protocol in the NFL among head coaches....show a little respect and humility towards the opposing coach, especially as the victor. Just calm down, look the opposing coach in the eye (you don't have to say anything) and shake his hand. If you want to then to go into your lockeroom and chest bump all your players and shout and holler like a fool go ahead.

Now where I agree with you is that Schwartz then proceeded to act like an idiot himself. Even if Harbaugh uttered an obscenity (who knows), Schwartz was a baffoon for chasing him down.

If you watch the clip closely, Harbaugh jabs his hand hard into Schwartz's and then slaps him on the back.
Schwartz says something to Harbaugh, whose head is tilted away from the camera but mutters something back at him. That must have been the expletive that got Schwartz all fired up.
Looked like one of those Pop Warner games in Florida where coaches all fight each other.
