I would ceratinly rather live in New Orleans than Minnesota and I wouldn't want to live in New York or Indy because I only like the cold when visiting..

Used to be, guys would dangle beads and such from the balconies at the hotels along Bourbon St.  You have all seen the show me your tits for bead shots from Bourbon street before.  Apparently they have decided to crazck down on that, to the tune of a 50 buck fine for flashing taa taas and 100 for inciting that action.  

Has the Big Easy gone all New England Puritanical?  Nope, it's more nefarious than that.  Fucking Pick pockets.  They work in teams, some from the balcony waving the beads for tits, the crowd gathers below and the more taa taas that are flashed the bigger the crowd gets adn that is when the other part of the team, the pick pockets on the street go to work and clean out the crowd.  

We got a ticket for it last night and had to call an old high school buddy who is one of Jefferson Parishes finest and say Randy, WTF?  He explained it all and to basically shut up and pay the ticket.  During Carnival / Madri Gras the cops are not exactly in a good mood, million drunks on the street every night, averaging 16 hour days with not much of the OT paid, yeah I be bitchy too

all that being what it is, the party for the game is in full swing, Omlettes at Camelia Grill, Beignets at Cafe Du Monde, doing drinks at Riverbend and Tippitina's most of the afternoon and downtown for the parades and party all night.  Game day starts with Bloody Marys and Brunch at Commanders Palace at around 8 am.  Figure we will just go straight from the Quarter to there.

yeah, we got 42 years of trash talking backed up so we are playing catch up.  For us this weekend is the party of the century, the Saints have never hosted a conference championship in the Big Easy.

At least the Jets have made it this far before, teh Vikings have been there before (and lost four) but the Saints?  

This is the game, most of us can afford Superbowl tickets so the combination of Carnival and Conf Championship all in the same weekend,  awesome.

bad for my health?  Hmmmm as a former member of the Navy Olympic Drinking Team, this is nothing,  Hell I went to high school and college here.

The Saints getting to the Superbowl in a year the Superdome is hosting it or would it with all the security and everything?
