The Hall of Fame catcher for the Mets and Expos died today at age 57 from complications from brain cancer. Carter was diagnosed with a malignant tumor last May, 2 weeks after finishing his 2nd season as coach of the Palm Beach Atlantic University baseball team. He died way too young, a great loss for baseball.

Sad news indeed.  One "hell of a catcher"  Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, RIP for The Kid!!

A great catcher and an even greater human being.  The world just lost one of the good ones.
