unfuckin believable.  Steve Balmer is gonna shell out 2 billion for the Clippers. It's reported to be an almost all cash deal. I guess that's walkin around money when you're worth 20 billion.

The last NBA team that sold was the Bucks, for about 550 million. And to think the Clippers were the laughing stock of the professional sports world for years. You think every other sports team owner isn't jumping up and down with joy?

2 billion is chump change to Ballmer. Pro team ownership has become trophy ownership.

What if Sterlings antitrust suit or legal objection to his wife's and or trust ownership gets challenged and delays the sale for years and years?

Per Donald Sterling's attorney, Kobe Bryant snapped at a ref and called a ref a gay slur and was fined only $100,000.

Sterling (Donald) was recently deemed mentally incapacitated. And, he also was planning a $1B lawsuit against the NBA to prevent them from holding a vote on whether or not to make him sell the team, which they canceled anyway now that Ballmer is buying the team. Daytime soaps have nothing on this mess!

Paying 800M for the Bucks in a minor size market certainly increased the value of the Clippers.
Ballmer is probably the best buyer for the team in that he knows how to run a business like a business.
As for the players whining about Sterling, I want to see exactly which one of them never had a racist thought or said racist slang...c'mon, this whole deal is bullshit.
Sterling is an old man, has cancer and a cheap thieving floozy for a girlfriend.
She was so embarrassed by her Mexican and black roots she gave herself an Italian name.
But that's ok?
Sterling is a dinosaur and needs to go but...
