really good teams they will likely meet in the NL playoffs before they even get to the WS.  Cincinnati, the Dodgers and/or Giants, even the Braves are all playing really good ball.  And the NATS are a very young team; Harper, Espinosa, Desmond, Lombardozzi, and some of their bench haven't got a lot of experience; even Ryan Zimmerman is still only about 26.  And while their pitching is their strength, it's also young; Strasburg, Gonzales, Zimmermann & Detwiler are all 26 or younger.  So their inexperience might be a negative in playoff baseball.  The reason they're winning a lot right now is that they've gotten a few of their important offensive pieces back from the DL (Morse & Werth) and they are hitting well; when they get Desmond back they'll just be stronger offensively.
Whatever the outcome, as a fan who has been part of season ticket groups since they came here from Moontreal, I couldn't be happier!

At least that's what they''re saying. They did the same thing to Zimmermann last year and he's having a pretty good season.

Mike Rizzo is now saying that he will cut Strasburg at 180 innings. He will miss 2-3 of the regular season starts. Strasburg will not pitch in Post Season (should Nats make it that far).  When Strasburg is shut down, there will be 4 men rotation instead of 5.

I, personally, think they should do anything but bring Chien-Ming Wang back to rotation. He was great with Yankees in 2006-2007, but simply not working out for Nationals.

Nats have a complete team and are just as tough offensively in the late innings as the Yankees. They have pitching, defense and offense. They are the real deal. Strausburg is a key issues, but stats say he is not the ace. Nats pitchers can hit too == circa '96 Braves.
