I'll be visiting your lovely city for the first time in a few weeks.  I've been told that the Space Needle, a harbor cruise, and the EMP museum are a must.  Any other suggestions?  I'll be staying close to the Space Needle and I won't have a car.

I think you might want to cab down to Pioneer Square or Pikes Market while you are in town.  They both have great walking areas with pubs and restaurants all over the place!  It's really a great city, I love it!

Have a great stay!

Hello Chicago Gentleman,

You are coming to Seattle a beautiful time of year and particularly on the water. And you are also stying near my in-call which is equally awesome. It's best to see Pike Place Market on a weekday where you can see the first Starbucks shop, the fish throwing, and beautiful fresh flowers. I love the Greek place or Philipino food both near the Pig Statue. The Pier which is close to the Space Needle is a great place to eat and people watch, yes delicious eye candy. Check out Ye Olde Curiosity Shop and eat outside or inside at Ivar's Seafood both on the Pier.

Thomas Douglas is a famous Food Network featured chef who has several great resturants in town, 2 close to you Lola and The Dahlia Lounge. If you go to the Space Needle, to avoid waiting in tourist lines know that your elevator ride and Observation Deck visit are complimentary when you dine at SkyCity. Looks like I may be in your town while you are in mine. Have a delicious visit!

You probably know this but if you're going to do the Space Needle, EMP and boat cruise, make sure you get the CityPass coupon booklet since they're a great deal (CityPass.com).

If you're a foodie, there's also some food tours from savorseattle.com.  Make sure you hit A Serious Pie (Tom Douglas' pizza place) and The Confectional (Pike's Place).

I'm actually going there this weekend and going to eat up a storm, hehe.
