Anyone have a clear winner? Last time I was here, my whole perspective on dim sum changed!

Could be in Chinatown or elsewhere.

Thanks!

Yank Sing is an SF institutio

-Hakkasan!!!!
It is not strictly a Dim sum Place but Cantonese and New American as well.

Honestly, if you haven't tasted their Dim Sum, you are missing a lot. One of the best, if not the best. On the pricey side and a place to dine.

-Another place is in China Town. Dol Ho.

A hole in the wall, humble, cheap ($, cash only) but loud and populated mostly with the senior Asian crowd who know their s#it.

-Lai Hong Lounge is also wonderful.  In China town again.

Expect a long line outside. Expect to wait 30 mins or longer. Big tables, big families. Loud. Quite clean and busy busy. You may feel rushed because of the waiting crowd outside.

Three different experiences three wonderful places, depending on your mood and budget.

Hope you enjoy some or all of them as well as your stay in chilly San Francisco.

Yank Sing IS the gold standard !

For hole in the wall dim sum, it can't be beat.

The Good Mong Kok Bakery

Also if you are a foil.wrapped chicken aficionado like me, prepare to not find your dish at theany places listed above. Only two places off the top of my head that serve that deliciousness: the Hang Ah Tea House, and Ton Kiang

I thought this was a quiet board! Don't know that I'll have enough time to do a tour de dim sum to compare all of this, but it's an excellent starting point.

 Thank you guys so much!
