Hi Gals,
First I want to say: you are now a great part of my life - I love you, I respect you, and I want you (and us guys) to be safe!
So, here's my question: when it comes to penetration, everyone agrees here we should always get covered, right?
Now, what about DATY, or BBBJ (uncovered BJ), or swallowing, etc. Arent'you gals (and us consequently) taking huge risks there??
I am a big fan of DATY, and I could use the full session doing it, and I must say I am also tempted by BBBJ, but I'm afraid it's as unsafe as uncovered sex, ain't it?
Thoughts????

Even though I'm not a lady, I've got something to say anyway (yeah, I've got a big mouth... :) ).

The issue of safety is one that comes up from time to time and one I think we try not to keep in the forefront of our minds all the time.  A LOT of the things we really like we prefer to do without protection, so I guess a number of us are risk takers.  I've been fortunate that I've never caught anything but I try to be as careful as I can even though you could argue I'm not being careful enough.

Believe it or not, some guys DO seek out unprotected FS. I'm not one of them but they do exist.  I've got no problem with guys wanting that but I'm not willing to take that risk.

You like DATY, do you use dental dams or other protection when you do that?  I also enjoy DATY but haven't used any protection.  I do have some dental dams I intend to try out on a lady I'm planning on seeing when I have time.  :)

As for BBBJ being as risky as unprotected sex, I'm not sure the same level of risk is there but I'm not a doctor so what do I know. :)

Peace...

Unprotected sex.........NO WAY!! Not even if I were dating someone.

I do prefer oral without a condom as I don't like the taste of latex and lube. As for safety I wouldn't recommend it for a female who has sores in her mouth or recent dental work as I have read of catching something that way. Also a quick check of your partner, discreetly of course is a smart habit to get into.

As far as CIM no way as it is an exchange of bodily fluids to the fullest.

I know there are some doctors out there and would appreciate any feedback.

Hi DK,
No, I've never used a dental dam (I guess that's a Female condom?). Never thought I needed one with friend partners in the past, nor with my ex (4 year married). But I was wondering about providers, hence my question... I've actually not asked them the question in a session so far, and just "went with the flow" (DATY without protection that is...).
I'll post a separate message to ask them what they think.
Cheers
Ph

There is a provider whose reviews indicate she permits DATY but will place saran wrap over herself to provide protection that way.  :)

I believe a dental dam is different than a female condom.  I believe a female condom is inserted into the woman where the dental dam is for external use (covers the fruits of her passion).

Peace...

The risk of contracting an STD from unprotected oral sex is low, very low. We're talking less than 5%, according to some studies. Except in the case of herpes, which is very easy to transmit from mouth-to-genitals and vice-versa.

Chlamydia and gonorrhea are the two STDs people usually worry about, but they are hard to contract or transmit orally. The environment of the mouth is not an ideal place for the bacteria to flourish... in fact, those diseases can really only thrive in the back of the throat. And the risk is greater for the person giving oral sex than the person receiving. Therefore, someone GETTING a b.j. that does not include deep throating or ejaculation is very... very... very slim.

And unless one has only had a single questionable encounter between rounds of testing, it is pretty hard to narrow down which sexual encounter causes one to become infected with an STD. Guys who hobby on a frequent basis will have a really hard time saying Provider X got him sick, as opposed to Provider Y or Z. I would not rule out an SO getting one sick... many civilian women are not always sticklers for practising safer sex, if my college pals are any indication.

That said, everyone should realise there is no such thing as safe sex, only safER sex, unless you are in a monotonous, er, monogamous relationship.

That's the truth about safe sex vs safer sex... I once got a nasty infection after having an intense 5 mins of sex with my fist... :D

(Just kidding)
