Given sites like this, there are many online resources for learning general information about any given provider's service.  When wanting to book an appt with someone new, one can (hopefully) do sufficient resource to determine if the lady in question might be worth arranging to meet, despite how drawn one might be to her photos... (just I've been duped by GREAT photos in the past... )

Then, on boards like this or through other "word of mouth" channels, personal recommendations are sometimes or often made.

Do you consider a personal recommendation to be of greater value or importance than quantity and quality of reviews or do you consider reviews to be of greater value or importance?  Or is it some mixture of the two?

For the ladies, how does interaction with clients (potential or regular) on boards like this compare to referrals you might get from other providers you know?  If another lady you know sends one of her clients your way, do you feel more comfortable with seeing that person than you would seeing someone you've chatted with on a forum before meeting them the first time?  Or does it matter at all?

but they have been only a part of who I choose to contact. Most of the ladies I've seen over the past couple of years have been ladies who I have flirted with on the boards. I don't get to play nearly as often as I'd like, and always ask for multi-hour dates, so if I get to know a little about the lady from some electronic flirting, I think it works out better for both of us. I know it's been better for me, as I do tend to get a bit nervous when meeting a new friend.

It also gives the lady the opportunity to decide that she doesn't want anything to do with an asshole like me, but thankfully that one hasn't happened yet.

whose word I trust so implicitly that if they have visited and highly recommend a gentleman, I won't even bother to request employment or verification site information. Unfortunately, the number of ladies I comfortably hold in such high regard number less than the fingers on one hand, and not a single one of them live out here with me in Chicago.

Most of my visitors aren't active on TER or any other board, so I can't say I have a great amount of experience with the latter situation. However, given that one never knows who is really on the other end until a physical meeting has occurred, I try to not to place too much stock in a few online conversations until we've successfully shared a bit of face time.

I concur with Lady Eve 100%. There are certain ladies who conduct themselves so perfectly professional I accept their word fully and without hesitation. That pool of ladies is very very small. Eve is on that list.

On the flipside, I generally do NOT entertain newbies......but I have let up on that rule a few times because the man trying to get a session with me has been a personal friend of one of my long time clients. That list of long time clients who I would trust enough to see one of their friends can be counted on two fingers.
