Definitely a summer person. Wish I could jump the equator every six months and live in a permanent antipodean spring & summer. (sigh)

The long hot summer days are the perfect accompinent for that amazing figure of yours.  Being that your only calling Australia home '...at the moment', perhaps I can entice you to relocate.  The Winter months bring modest temps, but Lake Tahoe has the most beautiful scenery.  The drive is a short three hours and you can enjoy some of the best winter sports in the country.  The Spring and Summer boast organized events like the Bay to Breakers and SF Marathon for those that are fitness inclined and the Union Street & Folsom Street festivals for those not so  The Fall brings us 'Crush' in wine country.  There is nothing like the smell of crushed grapes in the air.  I've seen your images and read your musings.  You would be a welcome addition to the Bay.  Safe travels...

Welcome to San Francisco..FYI you've probably not heard about our current status, for the last five years California was hit by massive drought by Mother Nature, the entire state is in crisis, but for some reason the city of San Francisco and the Bay Area remained unique when it comes to weather, we don't exactly have the regular weather patterns here, or seasons, the whole cycle of any calendar years is always perfect...

Like the quotes from the great Herb Caen and Mark Twain....

In parts of San Francisco there is actual flooding. Not in my part but in the Mission District. I don't mind the storms but I wish the rainfall would pace itself.
