A provider lists herself as Independent but is obviously working for an agency.  I have noticed an incredible similarity to the posts on here for providers yet there is no way to PM them and their content is identical.

To the hobbyist, do you ignore the lie and book anyway or does it make you think twice.  Especially when there is an obvious shill posts on their ads.

Curious minds want to know.

I only see independant ladies.

I don't know exactly why, but I always feel safer using an independent lady. So to answer your question, I do not ignore the lie and I avoid any lady with a hint of agency.

I ignore the ads, I only deal with true independents.
Providers with a booker are also NOT independent.

this was a big beef of mine.  I got fooled once - thought she was an independent than she slipped and told me about her agency rules.

That did it for me, I didn't want anyone other than the lady I see have info on me.

I never saw her again.

There is only one agency I have used knowingly and that's because I know the person behind the operation.

But those days are gone 'cause I've got a sweetie.

Juliet....you are a gorgeous gal.   I hope you are well.

Such deception is absolutely a red flag - kind of used to fibs such as incrementing one's birth year* and the like, but the scenario you describe is damn irritating, along with B&S scammers, pic thieves, and the like.

*Interestingly, in a recent RB poll, the majority of respondents seemed to prefer their companions in the 38-45 y/o age range, with 30-37 a second, 25-29 in 3rd place.  Growed up sexy women are The Best!

If Elliot Spitzer stayed with Independents, he would probably still be Governor or New York.  Agencies are trouble waiting to happen. Why in the world would LE be interested in one lady working under the radar for herself? In my experience, Indy's are smart, adventurous, fun people - especially the one who started this thread.

For those providers who aren't independent but don't work through an agency but just a common booker or assistant.

I'm not sure what you would call that:

maybe:  co-dependent

I agree.  An Indy who uses an assistant to field calls and handle scheduling is not an Agency.

I wouldn't consider a provider who *hires* a booking agent or an assistant to not be "independent".  IMO, "independent", in this context/parlance, means "self employed" or basically "not working for someone else" as is the case for someone employed by an agency of some kind.

I'm not bothered by the ad copy since it's all about the experience I have with the person.  Regardless of her working for an agency or her being independent, if the experience is good I'll arrange to spend more time her.

If her agency isn't treating her right, I might try to establish a way to contact her outside of the agency so I can see her without the agency being involved at all.

Peace...
