+1 union square, right in the heart of SF, lots of shops and restaurants for downtime, forget about street parking, but lots of paid lots around as well. theaters are nearby as well.  Financial district is nearby.

I would say SFO because it is close to me. :) but there isn't as much to do.  I'd also say Potrero Hill/SOMA but I don't know any decent hotels out there.

Union Square is centrally located, and convenient to get to via public transportation from most SF districts. Plus there is loads of public parking. Heavy traffic areas and the hotels have loads of tourists so most visitors would go unnoticed. There are a few hotels though that require key cards for the elevators either all the time of only certain hours, so that might be something to ask about when reserving a room, otherwise you would have to go to the lobby to great and take up.

Arden,

Hands down you want Union Square for SF In Call. I would not consider any other area to work in, frankly. Some hotels are listed as in the following Neighborhoods which are super close to Union Square:

SOMA
Nob Hill East
Nob Hill West
Embarcadero

Avoid Fisherman's Wharf (full of tourists), SFO, and Japan town (very far from city center).

We have a mutual friend who speaks highly of you. :) If you have further questions, feel free to inbox me.

Love,
Tabitha
