It is very quiet and sleepy in Mendocino, that's part of the beauty of it!

I say, take a little break from work and enjoy being away from the city. You're going during a gorgeous time of the year. Go swimming in a freezing cold river, stroll through Hendy woods or along a beautiful beach.

Sorry I haven't really answered your question, just reminiscing about the time I've spent up there.
I think some Mendo residents pay attention to TER. Eros might help as well...but I doubt it.
