Meet and greets don't seem to be a part of the SF Bay hobby culture. Do we do them? If so, I would love to know about them.

Since the other SF review site is so popular, almost no one hangs out over here! I've never been to a meet & greet, I'm wondering if it would be fun, or super awkward! I'm a bit shy at parties

Perhaps a 20s style speakeasy party?

Or a tea party in a nice garden?

A place with a nice view, but not really a black tie event. A nice afternoon style, like what you would see people dressed like at cafe's in Europe.

we could have various afternoon tea tables set up, and people could meander around as they please. It would have to be in the warmer seasons so we could be outside.

I've never been to a meet and greet either, but I've heard about them.  They do sound fun, but I'm not sure I would go.

Online or in Person, I know of an online meet and greet website, but in person.... That's a different story, I would participate if I knew any.

the thread is about in person M&G. There is one coming up in LA end of the month. Check the M&G  national board for info on the LA M&G. Being a host/hostess is a thankless position, just ask anyone who's been a host and the longtime LA and Vegas host/hostess have recently retired.

Also, I know that other board is more popular, but most of the members come off super misogynist and even worse than GD here. They also scoff at anyone who charges over 250 per hour unless you have a zillion reviews. Almost ape-ish and really crass.

Posting there is not an option for me. I have tried.
