Most, if not all, of you have heard the saying "Honesty is the best policy".

Given that statement, do you believe it's true?  If you believe honesty is the best policy, have you ever lied?  If you have, why?

If you don't believe honesty is the best policy, why isn't it the best policy?

and in general, yes, it's wrong. There are instances when the best course would be to go to extremes to avoid telling the truth. It's not always possible, but often is best for everyone involved.
