I will visiting San Diego for the first time.  Looking for a hotel with a ocean view that I view in the morning. Walking distance to things such has restaurants, the beach, shopping, etc.  Most important location that isn't too far for the ladies to travel. I know it's demanding but any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Check out these areas. Funkier options would include Sea World area, Pacific Beach, maybe Ocean Beach, too.

It's on 15th street and easy to access from the 5 north & south.
It's steps from the beach (a very friendly and nice beach with lights during the evening).
There are very nice beach front dining as well as a shopping center and bars also within steps of hotel.

Take care!
