I have always wanted to go to Tijuana to visit some of the strip clubs.  Is it worth going? Would it be safe now? If I went in the afternoon versus the evening would the clubs be open and worth going to?

They are not worth going to at all, and you might get kidnapped, jumped, mugged, held hostage and forced to drive as a coyote or even ransomed back to your family and friends for money to not be killed and dropped in a barrel of acid.

If you like strip clubs go to cheetahs, if you like nasty dirty brothels then go to nevada. If you go to TJ your asking for problems.

Why would you go anyway? trying to save money? you get what you pay for, and STD's down there are like common colds.

I agree with the poster above me Tj is really nasty and very dangerous!

Tijuana has less violent crime than New Orleans, Baltimore, and Detroit.  The Murder rate in Tijuana is on par with Philadelphia.    

I visit Tijuana for Business on a frequent basis, I meet alot of very nice people and I have never had a problem.  But I use common sense.  I don't walk around in unfamiliar areas.  I wear plain clothes.  I don't flash money.  I speak enough spanish to communicate.  

If you have never been to Tijuana, I would recommend that you go with a friend.  

If you have not browsed it, suggest that you do.

1.  Have your passport ready to go
2.  go in the afternoon and be back by 6 or 7 pm
3.  Go to Hong Kongs or Adelitas - safe and pretty girls
4.  Take your time and enjoy the scenery
5.  Do not get drunk - be alert
6.  Enjoy the bar and the club than go back to Border
7.  Plan on 30 to 60 min to cross into US
8.  Park in US and walk across the bridge
9.  You will be ok
