If your downtown they have a Residence Inn on Pacific Hwy that have spacious rooms for a reasonable rate.  Now if you just don't care how much you spend that's another ?

The Keating has cool rooms, and I LOVE privacy because it is an older hotel that only has a few rooms.

Well that depends.  I spent an awesome valentine's day weekend at the Marriott Marina.  Great views of the bay Sunday morning with the windows and drapes open.  Not quite downtown.

The new Hilton is supposed to be very nice.  I also like the Marriott Gas Lamp.  The roof bar has great views of Petco Park and the Coronado Bridge.  The concierge level is also a treat.  Take the girl for hors'devours or breakfast.  You'll get a lot of looks.  (I have a lot of Marriott points.)

The W, Westin, Hotel Solamar etc ... The list goes on.
San Diego has some great properties to choose from.
Enjoy your stay and get in lots of play!!
